Mrs. Leona Anthony

GROVER - Mrs. Leona Mary Huffstetler Anthony, 88, of 121 Whipporwill Court, died Thursday, April 30, 2009, at Cleveland Pines Nursing Center.
Born in Cleveland County, she was a daughter of the late Fife and Vera Pollard Huffstetler. Leona was a homemaker, who enjoyed cooking for her family and needlepoint. She was a member of Midview Baptist Church in Kings Mountain.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin S. Anthony; brother, Leon Huffstetler; sisters, Ruth Blanton, Clara Dellinger, Velma Huffstetler, Johnnie Martin and Lenenva Weaver; son, Gary F. Burton; and grandsons, Gary Burton, Steve Burton and Dennis Burton.
She is survived by her sons, Wayne Burton and wife, Joann, of Lake Greenwood, S.C. and Adrian Anthony of Grover; daughter, Debbie Donovan and husband, Allen, of Grover; sister, Faye Ross of Kings Mountain; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.Funeral: Saturday, May 2, 2 p.m., Cecil M. Visitation: The family will receive friends one hour before the service, at the funeral home.
