Lowery Wilson

GASTONIA- Mr. Lowery Benson Wilson, 86, of 514 South Avon Street, formerly of Kings Mountain, died Friday, April 26, 2013, at his home.
A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Haskel Dewey and Nettie Geneva Jenkins Wilson.
He was a member of Bradley Memorial United Methodist Church in Gastonia, worked for Homelite for 36 years, and was a member of Homelite Rod and Gun Club.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Margie Hord.
He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Verla Jean Parks Wilson of the home; three sons, Larry Benson Wilson of Gastonia, Jeffrey Scott Wilson Sr. and wife Julie, Hayward Lamont Wilson and wife Cynthia Ann, all of Bessemer City; sister, Betty Falls and husband James of Kings Mountain; brother, Gary Lamont Wilson of Knoxville, Tenn.; grandchildren, Amanda Marie Patel and husband Mike of Buford, S.C., Madison Brooke Wilson of Bessemer City, Jeffrey Scott Wilson Jr. of Bessemer City; and great-grandchildren, Tobias and Tula Patel of Buford, S.C.
Visitation: The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home of Kings Mountain, and other times at 410 East Louisiana Avenue, Bessemer City.
Graveside Service: 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Mountain Rest Cemetery
