Margaret Callahan

SHELBY-Mrs. Margaret Callahan, 87, of Shelby passed away Saturday, November 10, 2012 at her residence.
A native of Cleveland County she was born January 30, 1925, daughter of the late Otto and Annie Hamrick Long. She was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church of Shelby and a math teacher in Cleveland County and Winston Salem for over 44 years. She was a graduate of Meredith College and she was also a genealogy enthusiast.
In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. Callahan; one son, Robert W. Callahan.
She is survived by one grandson, Chris Callahan and wife, Karina Vazquez, of Charlotte; one granddaughter, Erin Callahan-Price and her spouse A.J. Price of Durham; one daughter-in-law, Karen Callahan of Charlotte.
Funeral service: Tuesday, 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Shelby, Webb Chapel.
Visitation: The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the Webb Chapel of First Baptist Church.

Burial: Sunset Cemetery.
