Martha Wilson

ICARD-Mrs. Martha Jean McNeilly Wilson, 81, of Icard, departed this earth to lean on the everlasting arms of Jesus on Sunday, Feb. 3, 2013, at Valdese Hospital.
Martha was born on June 8, 1931, in Cleveland County to the late Andrew G. and Blanche Hoyle McNeilly.
She was a proud member of First Baptist Icard. Martha was a member of the Wisdom Walkers and loved the senior citizens groups of First Baptist Icard and East Valdese Baptist Church. She retired from Alba-Waldensian after more than 40 years and was a cook at B&B Food Store in Hildebran for 14 years.
In addition to her parents, Martha was preceded in death by her husband, Iris L. Wilson; four brothers; and four sisters.
She is survived by her daughters, Debi and Bren Burns, Patsy and Rick Ross of Icard, and Peggy and Charles Johnson of Hermitage, Tenn.; her son, Scott and Amber Wilson of Gloucester, Va.; grandchildren, Kevin Burns, Josh and Amanda Burns, Kristi and Mike Davis, David and Ashley Frye, Blake Ross, Ryan Johnson, Samantha Johnson, Corrie and Jason Britt, Miranda and Cody Shown, Cassie Wilson, and Courtney Admire; great-grandchildren, Peyton Burns, Hampton and Brenlee Burns, Ariana Frye, Dawson Abee, Brandie and Kristen Davis; brothers and sisters, Donald and Mildred McNeilly, Daphene and Edley Canipe, twin sister, Josephine and Ted Huffman, Eloise and Wiley Martin, and Brenda and Don Williams; in-laws, Cliff and Lorena Wilson, Steve and Leona Wilson, and MaryLee Heavner; a very special friend, Kathleen Melott; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation: The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Heritage Funeral Service, Valdese.
Funeral Service: 1 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Service

Burial: Catawba Memorial Park, Hickory, following the service
