Nellie Virginia Capps

SHELBY-Mrs. Nellie Virginia Bell Capps, 87, of Shelby, passed away on Sunday, April 7, 2013, at White Oak Manor of Shelby.
A native of Cherokee County, S.C., she is the daughter of the late Clyde Ransom Bell and Elvena Wesson Bell. She had worked at Ora Mill as a winder. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed working in the yard and visiting friends. She was a member of Second Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Fred Capps; son, Ronald Fred Capps; daughter, Nancy Bridges Campfield; grandson, Joey Capps; three sisters and one brother.
She is survived by one daughter, Linda Hamrick and husband Sherrill of Shelby; two sons, Harvey Capps and wife Renee of Grover, and Darvin Capps and wife Crystal of Bessemer City; one brother, Tommy Bell and wife Shirley of Shelby; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation: The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at Second Baptist Church. Family headquarters is at 1304 Greer Street, Shelby.
Funeral Service: 2 p.m. Wednesday at Second Baptist Church
