BLACKSBURG, S.C.- Noah Lee Martin, 76, of 558 Old Buffalo Church Road, passed away on Monday, April 22, 2013, at his residence.
Born in York, he was formerly married to Edith Lanier Martin of Gaffney, and was the son of the late Boyd Franklin Martin and Mattie Bell Peterson Martin.
Mr. Martin was employed in textiles, was an avid gardener, loved flea markets, guitar and photography, and was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving is a son, William Dale Martin and fiancé Lena Frezell of Blacksburg; three daughters, Ann Turner and fiancé Jimmy Willis of Lawndale, Lorrie Vaughan and husband Scott, and Candy Mullinax and husband David, all of Gaffney; a brother, Trudy Martin and wife Dot of Blacksburg; three sisters, Wilma Lail, Thelma Hughes, both of Shelby, and Bonnie Walker of Waco; a sister-in-law, Betty Jean Martin of Earl; nine grandchildren, Steven Turner and wife Donna, Kim Crowe and husband Wesley, J. T. Turner and fiancé Daisy Crater, Tabbatha Parker and husband Eric, Dupree Baker and wife Lauren, Eric Peace Jr., Patricia Bolin, Roger Bolin, and Chad Martin and wife; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, David Martin; and a granddaughter, Tiffany Martin.
Visitation: The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Blakely Funeral Home. The family will also be at the home of Edith Martin, 937 Shelby Highway, Gaffney.
Funeral Service: 4 p.m. Thursday at Blakely Funeral Home Chapel
