Randy Shook

SHELBY - Mr. Randall Paul Shook, 62, died Friday Jan. 18, 2013 at his home.
Born in Buncombe County, he was the son of the late Maurice Paul and Etta Lucille Gasperson Shook. Mr. Shook was a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather. He worked for FMC Lithium as a chemist for more than 31 years, was a member of Flint Hill Baptist Church and a former member of the Boiling Springs Lions Club.
After his stroke, to keep his spirits up, Mr. Shook started going to all of the Gardner-Webb University Sporting events. He became an avid supporter of the students and developed friendships with some of the athletes.
Mr. Shook is survived by his wife of 43 years, Renna Bowen Shook; a son, Ron Shook of Boiling Springs; a daughter, Jennifer Bradstreet and husband Dr. Jeff Bradstreet; a grandson, Aaron Lackey; and several aunts, uncles and cousins in the Asheville area.

Visitation: The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. – 2 p.m. an hour before the service, and other times at 1310 Maple Springs Church Road
Funeral Service: 2 p.m. Monday at Flint Hill Baptist Church
