MOORESBORO-Mr. James Richard "Rick" Cromer, 60, of 840 Goode's Grove Road, Mooresboro, died Monday, April 8, 2013, at Kings Mountain Hospice.
He was the son of James "Snook" and Betty Houser Cromer of Mooresboro. He was a cross country independent trucker, and an electrician for Kosa and Paragon, an ultralight pilot, enjoyed radio controlled airplanes, and was a motorcycle enthusiast.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Joy White Cromer; three daughters, Emily Cromer Macon and her husband Daniel of Cliffside, Courtney Smith Phillips and her husband Bill of Redington Shores, Fla., and Amie Smith Love and her husband Gene of Winston-Salem; a sister, Vicky Cromer Jones and her husband Davy of Mooresboro; his grandchildren, Clara and Gabriel Love, Billy Phillips, Clayton Hollifield, and Adyline Macon; a niece, Lesly Jones Gibbon and her husband Andy; and great-nephews, Hudson and Jace Gibbon of Rutherfordton.
Visitation: The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall, and at other times at the residence, at 840 Goode's Grove Road, Mooresboro.
Memorial Service: 6 p.m. Thursday at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Cleveland County
