BLACKVILLE, S.C. – Sedalia Mary Putnam, 85, of Blackville, S.C., passed away Sunday, Dec. 15, 2013. Born in Shelby, she was a daughter of the late Charles Warren and Lillian Hollyfield Warren, and was married to the late Clyde George Putnam, Jr.
She was a member of Blackville First Baptist Church, where she was the church secretary and organist for decades. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Charles C. Warren.
She is survived by her daughters, Catherine Putnam Scott of Barnwell and Jayne Putnam Sparks of Blackville; sons, Clyde G. Putnam, III (Vickie) of Barnwell, and William Eric Putnam of Blackville; sisters, Helen Randall and Dorothy Webber; grandchildren, Charles Phillip Sparks, Amanda Matthews, Jonathan Putnam, McKinsey Putnam, Chase Putnam, and William Putnam; and great-grandchildren, Amber and Tucker Matthews, Adrian and Sadie Putnam, and Autumn Sparks.
Funeral service: 11 a.m. Wednesday at Blackville First Baptist Church, Blackville, S.C.
Burial: 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at Cleveland County Memorial Cemetery, Boiling Springs
