GROVER-- J. D. Bolin, age 91, resident of Grover, NC died Oct. 12, 2013, at Cleveland Regional Medical Center, Shelby, NC.

He was born in York County, SC to the late Ervin Bud Bolin and Nannie Bell Wray Bolin. He was also preceded in death by his sons, Johnny Junior Bolin, Larry Dean Bolin; and brothers, Robert Bolin, Lester Bolin, Carl Bolin, Dock Bolin, Ed Bolin, and Shorty Bolin; and sister, Della Henderson. Mr. Bolin was a faithful member of First Baptist Church, Grover, NC and retired from Grover Industries. He was a former coach for the Minnette Mills baseball team.
He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who loved his church, family, and sports. He served in the United States Army during World War II in Germany and was a recipient of the Purple Heart.

Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Monday evening, Oct. 14, 2013, at Harris Funeral Home, Kings Mountain
Interment: Grover Cemetery, Grover, North Carolina
