LEXINGTON, S.C.-Anne C. James, 70, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013.

Born on Aug. 22, 1942, she was the wife of Art James, and the daughter of the late Ralph and Collette Washburn Champion. She was a member of Life Springs Worship Center and a secretary for the Columbia Fire Department.
Surviving are siblings, Bill Champion of Shelby, David (Jeanette) Champion of Shelby, Joe (Terisa) Champion of Shelby, Kathy (Kenny) Smith of Shelby, Ginny (Floyd) Bush of Taylors, S.C., Susan (Mont) Cooper of Campobello, S.C., and Glen Champion of Shelby.
Mrs. James was preceded in death by her siblings, Harry Champion and Betty Carolyn Champion.
Visitation: The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel.
Funeral Service: 11 a.m. Wednesday at Life Springs Worship Center, 5630 Platt Springs Road, Lexington.
Burial: Woodridge Memorial Park, following the service
