She was a loving and kind person who enjoyed singing with the senior choir, working in the clothes ministry and the senior hour of power. In addition, she enjoyed working in her home and her flower gardens.
Mrs. Surratt worked in the textile industry for years, Cleveland Regional Medical Center's dietary department and as a foster grandparent in the Cleveland County School System.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Robert Surratt, Jr.; a step-brother, Melvin Pooler; and a son-in-law, Vernon Brown.
