GAFFNEY, S.C.-Bobby Dean Hopper, 56, 136 Elizabeth Road, passed away on Monday, March 14, 2011, at the Upstate Carolina Medical Center in Gaffney, S.C.

Mr. Hopper was born Nov. 2, 1954, in Shelby the son, of the late Ernest Hopper and the late Margie Mae Allen Hopper and was the husband, of Sylvia Jane Carico Hopper.
He was a proprietor and painter by trade and was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived, in addition to his wife, by two daughters, Sharon Hopper and Misty Hopper, both of the home; four sons, Bobby Dean Hopper Jr., Timothy Scott Hopper and Rusty Shane Hopper, all of Gaffney and David Eric Hopper of the home; three sisters, Betty Philbeck and Linda Kidd, both of Shelby, and Lisa Tessener of Chesnee, S.C.; three brothers, Jerry Hopper and Daniel Hopper, both of Shelby and Steve Hopper of Casar. Also surviving are five grandchildren.
Mr. Hopper was preceded in death by a brother, Roger Hopper.
