SHELBY- Clara Mae Bostic Beason, 93, of Shelby, died on Friday, Dec. 20, 2013, at Wendover Hospice House.

A native of Cleveland County, she is the daughter of the late Claude Irvin Bostic and Effie Lowery Bostic.
Mrs. Beason loved to get out and garden with her hoe and shovel. She had worked for many years in the food service industry until her retirement. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Max O. Beason; and one son, Charles Lynn Beason.
She is survived by her son, Quinn Beason of Shelby; two sisters, Grace Greene of Shelby and Dot Cunningham of Lajolle, Calif.; two brothers, Albert Bostic of Grassy Pond, S.C., and Robert Bostic of Mooresboro; and one sister-in-law, Jeanette Fox of Shelby.
A visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Monday at Cleveland Funeral Services.
The funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. Monday at Cleveland Funeral Services Chapel and will be officiated by the Rev. Mike Frazier.
The burial will be at Trinity Baptist Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Cleveland County, 951 Wendover Heights Dr., Shelby, NC 28150.
