BLACKSBURG, S.C. - Cynthia Lou Williams Berry, 63, of Blacksburg, S.C., passed away Friday, Aug. 16, 2013, after battling colon cancer. She was born March 2, 1950, in Parkersburg, W. Va., the first child of Duane Williams and Edna Whited Williams Marcellus. She graduated in 1968 from Parkersburg High School and then attended Mountain State College.
Cindy is survived by her husband of 30 years, Robert Otley Berry Jr.; two sons, Ryan Duane Berry (Crystal), and Jonathan Oliver Berry; her father, Duane Williams; three sisters, Deborah Hickman (David), Cheri McLean, and Lisa Parker (Michael); two brothers, Greg Williams (Mary), and Jeff Williams (Carolyn); three step-children, Ross Berry (Pam), Clifton Berry (Susan), and Nancy Allen (Brian); four grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and one special lifelong friend, Patricia Seevers.
Cindy was preceded in death by her mother, Edna Whited Williams Marcellus; one infant son, Nathan Alan Berry; and one infant grandson, Toby Ryan Berry.
Memorial Service: 2 p.m. Saturday at New Bethel Church, Shelby.
