BOILING SPRINGS– Danny Thomas Unites, 22, formerly of Benjamin Court, and current resident of Raleigh, died Wednesday, July 31, 2013, at Wake Med Health and Hospitals.
A native of Alleghany County, Pa., he is the son of Thomas Peter and Francine Reich Unites of Boiling Springs. He worked several summers as a lifeguard at Shelby City Park. Danny was a Crest High School graduate, and this past May, he graduated with honors from N.C. State University with a degree in Industrial Design. He was employed by Mohu as an Industrial Designer, and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Gaffney, S.C.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother, Brian and wife Maggie Morehead Unites of Shelby; girlfriend, Lea Meuni of Paris, France; grandmother, Rose Reich of Ballantyne; and many special friends.
Visitation: The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home
Funeral Mass: 11 a.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Gaffney
