He was born on Jan. 30, 1942, in Cleveland County to the late Walter T. and Annie Belle Edmondson.
Dennis was well known in the community as owner/operator of Edmondson's Kwik Stop & Coin Laundry for 25 years. He also had been previously employed by Carter Chevrolet of Shelby, Daniels Construction, and Duke Power in Rock Hill, S.C. He was a founding member of Landmark Baptist Church. Dennis never met a stranger and gained many friends with his travels to Crappiethon Tournaments and car shows. He enjoyed gardening as he was known for his "green thumb". He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He also restored classic cars and collected antiques. He lived a humble life, just his way.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Maxine Edmondson; and his brother, Ronnie Edmondson.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife of 47 years, Madgie "Ola" Weaver Edmondson of the home; two daughters, LeeAnn Edmondson Ellis (Chris) of Shelby and Lori Edmondson Dawadi (Bharat) of Shelby; adopted daughter, Marcia Edmondson (Jerry Injejekian) of Shelby; adopted son, M.
