GAFFNEY, S.C.-- Dewyatt Morris, 75, of 115 Illinois Circle, passed Monday, Oct. 7, 2013, at Novant Health Gaffney Medical Center.

Son of the late Roscoe and Edna Bonner Morris, he was born in Cherokee County, S.C. He was a thirty year retired employee of Timken, a member of Mikes Creek Baptist Church, and later attended Bethel Baptist Church.
Surviving are his confidant, Ms. Rachel Vanlue of the home; his son, Chris Norris (Ann) of Mooresville; three daughters, Ms. Bonnie Phillips, Ms. Katish Edwards (Derrick) and Mrs. Faye Hamilton (J.R.), all of Gaffney; two adopted daughters, Ms. Yolanda Webster and Mrs. Nakia Stevenson (Joe), both of Gaffney; his adopted son, Kenynon Webster of Gaffney; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; his sister-in-law, Mrs. Geraldeen Morris of Gaffney; and other relatives.
Visitation: The family is at the home of his confidant, Ms. Rachel Vanlue, 209 Connecticut Ave., Gaffney.
Funeral Service: 1 p.m. Saturday at Bethel Baptist Church
Officiating: Dr. James W. Sanders, Jr., and the Revs. Courtney Mills, C. A. Wallace, Freddy Davidson and Dr. A. L. Brackett
Internment: Mikes Creek Baptist Church Cemetery; he will lie instate at Noon.
Funeral Home: Foster Funeral Home of Gaffney is serving the family.
