EBBA MASIMORE
SHELBY- Ebba Marie Blanton Towery Masimore, 92, died Saturday, April 18, 2015, at Peak Resources of Shelby. A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Rev. Walter and Sarah Padgett Blanton. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church, and enjoyed canning and quilting. Her family and church family were very important to her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, D.W. Towery; second husband, Elmer Leroy Masimore; brothers, Lawrence, Lewis, Charles, and Boyd Blanton; sisters, Lilly Bailey, Kathleen Moore, and Bertha Childress.
She is survived by her sons, Phillips Ray Towery, of Shelby, Pastor Dan Towery and wife Gale of Leesburg, VA., and Charles Masimore and wife Susan of Ft. Lauderdale, Fl; daughter, Emma Jo Creglow and husband Robert of Corpus Christi, TX; sister, Virginia Peterson of MD; 11 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, at Faith Baptist Church, with Dr. J. Barry Goodman officiating.
Burial will be at Sunset Cemetery.
