LAWNDALE-Edgar "Ed" Allen Lattimore Sr., 75, of 7405 Hull Road, Lawndale, died Monday, April 15, 2013, at Cleveland Regional Medical Center in Shelby.
Mr. Lattimore was born in Cleveland County on Jan. 13, 1938, to the late William Worth Lattimore and Ruby Pearl Hamrick Lattimore. He was retired from the U.S. Postal Services as a letter carrier and was a member of Christian Fellowship Church. Mr. Lattimore also served in the U.S. Army.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Pearl Eubanks.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Nancy Hicks Lattimore; two sons, Allen Lattimore of Lawndale, and John C. Lattimore and wife Valerie of Lawndale; brother, W.F. Lattimore of Lawndale; two sisters, Elizabeth Dedmond of Lawndale, and Phyllis Powers of Cherryville; six grandchildren, Amanda Lattimore, Ben Lattimore, Rachel Lattimore, LCPL John Houston Lattimore, U.S. Marine Corp, Justin Lattimore, Matthew Lattimore and Alexia Cooper; and one great-grandchild, Jayla.
Visitation: The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Stamey Funeral Home.
Funeral Service: 2 p.m. Wednesday at Stamey Funeral Home Chapel in Fallston
Burial: Rose Hill Memorial Park, Fallston
