SHELBY-Mrs. Elizabeth Hamrick Smith, 90, of 1507 South Morgan Street, Shelby, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 01, 2013, at Wendover Hospice in Shelby.

A native of Cleveland County, she was born on May 9, 1922, daughter of the late Weldon and Georgia Borders Martin. She enjoyed sewing and gardening in her free time. She retired from the Diana Shop.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, Quinton Hamrick; and second husband, Charles Smith.
She is survived by one son, Harry Hamrick and wife Frances of Shelby; one brother, Charles Martin and wife Betty of S.C.; two grandchildren, Leanne Benton and husband Kevin of Grover, and Cameron Hamrick of Shelby; and two great grandchildren, Quinton Benton and Nicholas Benton.
Visitation: The family will receive friends following the graveside service.
Graveside Service: 11 a.m. Friday at Sunset Cemetery
