FRANK COOK
SHELBY- Francis "Frank" Joseph Cook, age 85, passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2015, at Hospice Wendover. Born in Geneva, N.Y., to the late Benjamin Franklin and Helen Cook on Dec. 14, 1929. Frank retired from Cleveland Lumber Company and enjoyed retirement life reading history and war novels. Frank was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. In addition to his parents, Frank is preceded in death by his first wife, Jackie Cook; a son Gary Cook; three brothers; and his beloved canine companion "Toby".
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Barbara Wallace Cook; step-daughters, Ann White Mitchell; Linda White McGrath; and Debbie White Withers (Scott) all of Shelby; three grandchildren, Tammy, Scott Jr., and Meghan; one great grandchild Layla; one brother Robert Cook (Barbara) of Geneva, N.Y.
The family will receive friends following the service.
Funeral service will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, May 23, 2015, at the Chapel of Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home and Crematory, officiated by Deacon James Trombley.
Burial will be at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice Cleveland County, 951 Wendover Heights Drive, Shelby, NC 28150.

Barbara, we are saddened to hear of your loss. Frank was an integral part of our family for so many years. I have so many fond memories of him ,my sister Jackie and Gary. Please accept our condolences and prayers.
