SHELBY - Byron "Hub" Miller Hartman, 92, of the Sterling House, died July 14, 2013, at Cleveland Regional Medical Center following a brief illness.

He was born Aug. 7, 1920, in Belwood, son of the late Quincy Hartman and the late Sarah Elizabeth Johnson Hartman.
He was a longtime member of Knob Creek United Methodist Church.
Mr. Hartman was preceded in death by his wife, Janois Boyles Hartman; his son, Randy Byron Hartman; four brothers, Theodore, Joe, Swain and Durham Hartman; and six sisters, Getty Davis, Myrtle Warlick, Velma Sisson, Eloise Dayberry, Vera Glenn and Ruth Anthony.
Mr. Hartman is survived by his daughter-in-law, Sandra Hartman, of Cary; three grandchildren, Heather Hartman and husband, Ryan Eppen-berger, of Cary, Zachary Hartman and wife, Jessica, of Durham, and Victoria Hartman, of Philadelphia; and two great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Lucy. He is also survived by his brother, Jake Hartman.
Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday at Stamey Funeral Home Chapel, Fallston, with the Rev. Kathy Early officiating.
Burial will be at Knob Creek United Methodist Church Cemetery, Lawndale.
