LAWNDALE - Mr. Jack Edgar Lee, 75, of 1327 W Stagecoach Trail, passed away Thursday, May 16, 2013, at Wendover.

Born in Cleveland County, he was a son of the late Robert Henry Lee and Katherine Elizabeth Tucker Lee.
A lifetime member of Palm Tree United Methodist Church, he was a member of the Chancel Choir and Men's Chorus and served in multiple other capacities. Jack was an avid outdoorsman and passionate hunter. He retired as a mechanic from Fiber Industries in Earl. After retiring at fifty-eight, he worked tirelessly in his community helping others. Most recently he worked as a volunteer at the UCAN food pantry in Lawndale and also donated his time and acreage to the Cleveland County Potato Project.
A loving husband, father and papaw, he is survived by his wife of fifty-eight years, Shirley Costner Lee; three sons and daughter-in-law, Mark and Lisa Lee of Fallston, Todd Lee and Gary Lee both of Lawndale; grandchildren, Brittany Lee, Robert Lee, Brandon Lee, Cailla Lee, Megan Lee and Mary Lee; brother, Jerry Lee and wife, Sally, of Lawndale; brother-in-law, Jerry Costner and wife, Janette, of Taylors, SC; four nephews; a niece and numerous cousins.
Visitation: The family will recieve friends from 5 until 7 p.m., Sunday, at Stamey Funeral Home in Fallston.
Funeral: Monday, 2 p.m., Palm Tree United Methodist Church. The body will be placed in the church thirty minutes prior to the service.
Officiating: Revs. Scott Owen and Doug Love.
Cemetery: Palm Tree United Methodist Church.
