GASTONIA - Jamie Scronce Kraft, 57, of Gastonia, passed away on Monday, Jan. 6, 2014, at her home with her loving family by her side. She was born in Shelby on Oct. 20, 1956, and is the daughter of Doris Murray Lester and step-father Fred Lester of Bessemer City and James Scronce of Shelby.

Jamie was a graduate of Shelby High School in 1975 and was a graduate of Gardner-Webb University with Honors and a BA in Business. She loved music, camping and music festivals.
Jamie was employed as a Benefits Eligibilities Specialist at Caromont Regional Medical Center, Gastonia.
Jamie is survived by her husband, George Kraft; son, James Dylan Davis and wife Charity of Shelby; daughter, Lacey J. Stanley of Gastonia; mother and step-father, Doris and Fred Lester of Bessemer City; father, James Scronce of Shelby; three grandchildren, Kennedy Davis, Karter Davis and Maddox Davis of Shelby; brother, Wayne Scronce and wife Diane of Daytona Beach, Fla.; sister, Kathy Scronce Hawkins and husband Larry of Shelby; best friend, Anne Southard of Shelby; two nephews; one niece; one great nephew; and four great nieces.
Visitation: The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Memorial service: 4 p.m. Thursday in the Colonial Chapel of Carothers Funeral Home, Gastonia.
Interment: Private and at a later date.
