EARL- Jeanette Turner, 88, of 2235 South Post Road, passed away Monday July 29, 2013, at Wendover Hospice. A native of Cherokee County, S.C., she was born January 7, 1925, daughter of the late John and Fannie Bell Mullinax. She was a charter member of Faith Baptist Church in Shelby and a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Marvin "Bill" Turner; six brothers and five sisters.
She is survived by five daughters, Brenda Owens and husband Mike, Kathryn Owens and husband Roger, Patricia Cook and husband Floyd, all of Earl, Linda McClain and husband John of Blacksburg, and Jan McElroy of Jacksonville, Fla.; 18 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; and six great great grandchildren.
Visitation: The family will receive friends from5:30 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home of Shelby.
Funeral Service: 11 a.m. Thursday at Faith Baptist Church
Officiated By: Her grandson, the Rev. Johnny Owens, Dr. J. Barry Goodman and Rev. Billy Boone
Burial: will immediately follow in Faith Baptist Church Cemetery
