CHERRYVILLE- James "Jimmy" Bostic, Jr., 64, of 208 Dillinger Road, departed this life on Oct. 11, 2013, at Robin Johnson Hospice House, Dallas.

He was born March 14, 1949, in Lincoln County, to the late James Henry and Mary Jane Patterson Bostic.
He attended Newbold High School, where he dropped out his sophmore year to work to help support his parents and siblings when his father lost his sight. He drove the school bus for Lincoln County Schools. He was employed with JP Stevens/JPS/Belding Hausman, Inc. for 33 years before he retired in 2011. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and cousin. He enjoyed fishing, driving and cleaning his red Ford Truck, family and the Dallas Cowboys.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Teretha Bostic; brother, Cleotis Bostic; grandparents, James Henry and Bertha Lawrence Bostic, and Dave and Mattie Ballard Patterson.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Ada Mae Hopper-Bostic; four daughters, Robin D. Hopper of Gastonia, Candy L. and Anitra N. Bostic, and Minister Tonya R. Mauney (Tim); and one son, Herbert L. Watkins (Arikco).
Visitation: The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church
