SHELBY - John Stanley Grayson, 64 of 3609 George Beam Road, passed away Feb. 14, 2013 at his residence.
Born Jan. 1, 1949, in Cleveland County, he was a son of the late Arlon John Grayson and Marlan Beam Grayson Cone. He was a member of Big Springs Baptist Church. Stanley served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and was stationed in Korea and Germany.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara G. Moses.
Survivors include his nephew, Karl Moses and wife, Tamara of Shelby; niece, Karen Hodges and husband, Lee of Ruffin; great-niece, Savannah Hodges and brother-in-law, Herchell Moses of Morganton.


Visitation: The family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m. Tuesday at Stamey Funeral Home in Fallston
