BOILING SPRINGS- Mamie Wilson Elliott, 91, of 1619 Patrick Avenue Apt. 9, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Oct. 4, 2013, at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte. She was born Oct. 24, 1921, in Cleveland County, to the late Starling Wilson, Sr. and Macie Hopper Wilson.
Mamie was a faithful member of Maple Springs Baptist Church where she was a member of the Senior choir until her health declined. She was also an honorary member and faithful supporter of Unity Independent Baptist Church. She loved fishing, traveling, gardening, going to yard sales, cooking and sitting on her front porch. She took great pride in her family decorating her home with hundreds of photos of her children, grandchildren, great and great-great-grandchildren and friends. She was the last of her parents' children producing five generations.
Mamie will be remembered for her faithfulness, and her unconditional love towards her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Julius Elliott, Sr; a daughter, Jacquline Elliott Leary; a grandson; three great-grandchildren; five brothers, Cofford Hopper, Starling Wilson, Jr., Robert Wilson, Edward Wilson and Haylus Wilson; and two sisters, Beauna Albert and Idaree Eskridge.
Left to cherish loving memories are one son, Julius Elliott, Jr. (Gwen) of Shelby; four daughters, Helen Little (Charles) of Boiling Springs, Shirley Mitchell (Lewis), Marie Walton, and Betty Thompson (Glenn), all of Mooresboro; 16 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; 19 great-great grandchildren; a special friend, Cherry Petty of Boiling Springs; a special great-grandchild, Keianna Little of Boiling Springs, who remained by her side throughout her illness; two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Wilson of Boiling Springs and Alma Jean Wilson of Kingstown; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation: The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2 p.m. Thursday.
Funeral Service: 2 p.m. Thursday at Maple Springs Baptist Church

Burial: Cleveland Memorial Park
