SHELBY - Marjorie H. Ashley, 86, passed away July 7, 2013, at White Oak Manor of Shelby.

She was born Sept. 1, 1926, in Cleveland County, was a homemaker and member of Rehobeth United Methodist Church, she also attended Lattimore High School.

She was preceded in death by parents, Luther G. Haynes and Beulah Crowder Haynes; husband, James Ashley Jr.; brothers, A.V. Haynes and Glenn Haynes; sister, Ophelia Ledford; nephew, Kevin Haynes.

She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Pam Powell & Rodney of Valdese; niece, Brenda Gettys of Shelby; niece, Judy Albright of Lincoln-ton; nephew, Neil Haynes of Forest City. She is also survived by a number of great nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to Rehobeth United Methodist Church, 2036 Rehobeth Church Rd., Shelby, NC 28150 or Hospice of Cleveland County, 951 Wendover Heights Drive, Shelby, NC 28150.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Cleveland Funeral Services and Crematory.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at Rehobeth United Methodist Church with the Rev. Sean Turner and Dr. Neil Haynes offici-ating.

Burial will be at Rehobeth United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Cleveland Funeral Services & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
