LINCOLNTON - Martha Kay Davis, 60, of Lincolnton, formerly of Shelby, was taken home to be with the Lord and into the arms of her waiting family Sunday, March 2, 2014, at Catawba Valley Hospice House.

Ms. Davis was an officer with the Shelby Police Department for several years and an officer with the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Force until her retirement.
She was preceded in death by her son, David Albert (D.J.) Turner Jr.; her mother, Alfreda Crouse; step-father, Gary Crouse; and father, Bruce Davis.
Survivors include her devoted and loving fiance, John Anderson of Lincolnton; brother Danny Davis and wife Kathy of Maiden; niece Shanna Setzer and husband Roy of Lincolnton; great-niece, Ashley Setzer of Lincolnton; great-nephew, Tyler Setzer of Lincolnton; brother and sister in Christ and love, David Anderson and wife Sheila; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins who loved her dearly.
Visitation: The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the chapel.
Funeral service: 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Lutz-Austell Funeral Home Chapel
Officiated by: The Rev. Robert L. Wiggins
Interment: Will follow at Sunset Cemetery.
