SHELBY- Mary Lee Moore Borders, 97, died Friday, Jan. 3, 2014, at Hospice Cleveland County. Born on Oct. 28, 1916, in Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Malland Dovus and Elizabeth Lee Lattimore Moore. She was a member of First Baptist Church. Mary retired after 40 years of service from A.V. Wrays and Sons as a salesperson. She loved her family and her church and enjoyed keeping scrapbooks.

In addition to her parents, Mary is preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Borders; an infant son, Joe Dean Borders; a sister, Jessie Lou Moore and six brothers, Halys Moore, Buren Moore, Howard Moore, William Moore, Joe Moore, and George Moore.
Mary is survived by numerous loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2014, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Glenn Davenport and Rev. Michael Shumate officiating. The family will receive friends an hour before the service from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m.. A private burial will be held at Poplar Springs Baptist Church.
