RUTHERFORDTON-Melda Jean Caldwell McClain, 77, of Rutherfordton, passed away on Monday, Dec. 11, 2012. She was a native of Laurens County, S.C., and a daughter of Levi and Vennie Silvers Caldwell. She was a home maker and a member of The Eastern Star.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Adolphus Grady McClain.
She is survived by her sons, Dennis McClain and wife Kay of Boiling Springs, S.C., Darral McClain and fiancé Patricia Marston of Ellenboro, Dale McClain and wife Lisa of Lawndale; sister, Myrtle Harris of Newberry, S.C.; grandchildren, Mandy Newton and Steven McClain; great grandchildren, Diana Newton, Tasha Newton, Payton McClain and Caroline McClain.
Graveside Service: 11 a.m. Friday at Oak Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery
