SHELBY-Naomi Williams Meacham Jones, 86, died Monday, Nov. 22, 2010, at Cleveland Pines Nursing Center.

She was formerly of 720 Park Avenue. She was a member of East Side Baptist Church where she was a Sunday school teacher and GA leader. She worked as a nurse at Century Care for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie Lee and Era Laler Barnett Williams, as well as her former husband, G.W. "Joe" Meacham and Flay Jones; daughter Amy Louise Jones; two brothers, Eugene Williams and Leon Williams; two sisters, Rose Grant and Linda Morrison and a stepson, Bobby Jones.
She is survived by her three daughters, Brenda Sweezy and her husband, Don, Joyce Holcomb and her husband, Jeff, all of Shelby; Shirley Farrow and her husband, Richard of Salisbury and Angela Hollifield of Shelby; two sisters, Catherine Spurling and Ellie Goins; sister in law, Betty Williams; five grandchildren, Michael Hollifield, Jody Michelle Bennett, Matthew Farrow, Allison Farrow and Melanie Blanton; three great-grandchildren, Daniel Blanton, Tyler Bennett and Elijah Farrow; six step- children, Jake Jones, Marcia Hopper, Brenda Clanton, Emily Keener, Ricky Jones and Linda Vash.
Visitation: The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Cecil M Burton Funeral Home
