SHELBY - Reba Inez Nance Lankford, 84, passed away on Monday, Jan. 6, 2014, at Wendover Hospice House. Born in Cherokee County, S.C., she was the daughter of the late Ben and Dollie Ellis Nance.
She was also preceded in death by her husband Morris Lankford; and two sisters.
Reba was a member of Westwood Heights Baptist Church. She retired from Sears as an audit credit manager after 45 years of employment. She enjoyed reading and listening to gospel music.
Reba is survived by her children, Ronnie Lankford and wife Doris of Shelby, Debbie Lankford Green and husband Jerry of Bessemer City, Reca Lankford Wright of Shelby, and Denise Lankford Albea and husband Tim of Shelby; brothers-in-law, J. D. Haynes of Boiling Springs and Jack Lane of Shelby; six grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation: The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home and Crematory. At other times the family will be at the home.
Celebration of life service: 2 p.m. Thursday at Westwood Height Baptist Church

Burial: Will follow in Sunset Cemetery
