LAS VEGAS, NEV. - Mr. Robert Lee Boykins, 60, of 1521 Las Vegas Blvd. North, Apt. 137, Las Vegas, Nev., departed this life on Monday, Feb. 25, 2013 at Solari Hospice Care in Las Vegas.

He was born on Jan. 14, 1952 in Cleveland County to Lena Mae Glenn and Frank Surratt. He was known to family and friends as "Old Skool."
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Willie and Leonia Boykins; step-mother and step-father, Onelus Glenn and Bobby Gene Glenn; brother, Gregory Glenn; step-sisters, Evelina Scott and Thelma Littlejohn; nephew, David "Sanchez" Brown; aunts, Hattie Jean Culbreath and Joyce Hall; and uncle Albert Lee Boykins.
Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Lena Mae Glenn and Frank Surratt both of Shelby; daughter, Keysa Neal of Cherryville; sister, Dianne Brown (David) of Boiling Springs; two grandsons, Reginald Quentez Wingate, Jr. and Darius Raequan Wingate both of Cherryville; step-brothers and sisters, Joe Dean Glenn (Brenda), Donald Glenn (Lillian), Linda Huskey (Johnny), Betty Poston (Kenneth), Robert Louis Glenn (Trina) all of Shelby; aunts, Willie Bell Hunt (James), Ruth Brooks, Cynthia McShaw (Floyd), Brenda Glenn (Joe)all of Shelby; special cousin, Ray Watson of Atlanta, GA; special nephew Q'uavionne Brown and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services: Tuesday, 3 p.m. at Golden Ridge Baptist Church
Officiating: Rev. Kenneth Martin
Burial: church cemetery.
Visitation: The family will receive visitors from 2:30 until 3 p.m. at the church and at other times at the home of Joe Dean and Brenda Glenn, 2329 China Ave. in Shelby.
