GAFFNEY - Mr. Samuel Henry Jackson, 73, of 402 Buck Shoals Road, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 2, 2009, at his residence.

Born in Cliffside, he was the husband of Myram Steagall Jackson and the son of the late Archie Bynum Jackson and Nola White Jackson. He was retired from Duke Power, a Mason and a Shriner. Mr. Jackson was a member of Chesnee Freewill Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife, also surviving is a son, Joe Jackson and wife, Lori, of Greenville; a daughter, Shannon Johnson and husband, Robert, of Boiling Springs, SC; a brother, F. Glenn Jackson, Sr. and wife, Lillie Mae, of Boiling Springs; a sister, Lois Elmore of Forest City; six grandchildren, Maria Simmons, Heather Joyce, Krystle Jackson, Eden Jackson, Marc Parris and Brad-ley Parris; and three great-grandchildren, Robbie Simmons, Brian Simmons and Leroy Joyce V.
Visitation: The family will receive friends from 3 to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, May 5, at Blakely Funeral Home.
Funeral: Funeral services will immediately follow at 4 p.m. in the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel
