SHELBY - Stephen Lee Blair, 43, of Shelby, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2014, at Kings Mountain Hospice House. A native of Chattanooga, Tenn., he is the son of Joan E. Bridges and stepfather Mack Bridges and the late Ronnie A. Blair.

He worked as a claims adjuster for United Health Care prior to his illness. He served in the U.S. Air Force as a Fuels Technician (P.O.L.).
Stephen was an electronics guru and a true movie buff. He also loved to play tennis. He was a member of First Baptist Jacksonville, Fla.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Blanche Rose.
In addition to his mother and stepfather, he is survived by his brother, Daniel Blair of Shelby; grandfather, Reedie Rose of Shelby; aunt, Irene Honeycutt; and special friends, Jim Howarth and family of San Antonio, Texas and Melissa Davis of Weddington.
Visitation: The family will receive friends following the service at Christ Covenant Church Dining Hall.
Memorial service: 2 p.m. Saturday at Christ Covenant Church
