KINGS MOUNTAIN- Toye "Pop" Everette Grigg, 90, died Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center in Shelby.
Toye was a native of Cleveland County and the son of the late Frank and Emma Henson Grigg. Toye was a retired machinist and a World War II US Army Veteran.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Zella Mae Chapman Grigg.
He is survived by his sons, Carl Grigg and wife, Jackie, and Ronnie Grigg; daughter, Shirley Clark; grandchildren and spouses, Lesia Rucker, Jamie and Aundria Grigg, Kelli and Trent Whitley, Dean and Kristie Clark, David and Morgan Clark, Deana and Sherman Steele, Jessica and Justin Keith, Logan Grigg, Maddie Grigg, Mackenzie Grigg; great-grandchildren, Caleb Etters, Johnna Etters, Meghan Etters, Trey Grigg, Tyler Grigg, Jordan Lathe, Brayden Grigg, Peyton Whitley, Ashton Whitley, Levi Clark, Reid Clark, Brittian Clark, Austyn Clark, John Steele, De'Asia Kirkland, great-great-grandchild, Adellyn Etters and sister, Bertha Lacky.
Visitation: The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at McLean Funeral Directors of Gastonia.
Funeral Service: Saturday, 2 p.m. at Oak View Baptist Church
Officiated By: Rev. Robbie Moore
Burial: Church cemetery with military honors by the Gaston County Honor Guard
