GAFFNEY, S.C. - Mr. William Jack Allison, 89, of North State Line Road, Gaffney, died on Monday, Feb. 27, 2012 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.
A native of Cherokee County, SC, he was born on April 10, 1922, a son of the late John Horace Allison Sr. and Myrtle Anne Phillips Allison. He was retired from Blythe Brothers, was a U.S. Army Veteran and a member of State Line Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Madge Selvey Allison. He is survived by two daughters; Jackie Scruggs and husband Terry of Gaffney and Rebecca Luann Campfield and husband Mark of Gaffney; one brother, Hershel L. Allison of Shelby; four great-grandchildren, Erica Strawn, Rebecca Scruggs Bowen, Clay Scruggs, and Kyle Scruggs; three great-grandchildren, Jacob Pridmore, Izabella Lu Strawn and Sadie McKenzie Strawn.
Graveside Service: 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery
