SHELBY - Willie Frank Locklin, 79, of 314 Martin Street, departed this life on Sunday, Nov. 3, 2013, at White Oak Manor Nursing Home in Shelby. He was born on May 23, 1934, in Atlanta, Ga., to the late Daniel and Rolean Lett Locklin.

Mr. Locklin was a United States Army veteran. He enjoyed watching sports, walking and sitting on the porch. He was a humble quiet person who was free hearted and very giving.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Walter Locklin.
Left to cherish his memory are three daughters, Patricia London (Steve) of Shelby, Monica Locklin of Hickory, and Mary Lackey of Cincinnati, Ohio; two sisters, Doris Brown of Oklahoma and Ruby Tuggle of Atlanta, Ga.; grandchild Kawan London of Shelby, and four additional grandchildren; great-grandchild Londyn Broom, and six additional great-grandchildren; close friends, Jesse Jordan and Patsy Ratchford; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation: The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. at the chapel,
Funeral service: 3 p.m. Saturday at S.T. Enloe Memorial Chapel, and at other times at 314 Martin St. Shelby
