Ruby Conner Obituary
She was born in Cleveland County, to the late Rufus Sanders and Flossie Annette Ledford Sanders. She was wife for 47 years to the late Yates Conner. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Kings Mountain and former member of Shelby Rescue Squad Ladies Auxiliary. She was a volunteer at Cleveland Memorial Hospital in Shelby, a homemaker and a friend to many.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Tonda Conner; grandson, Stephen James "Ricco" Conner; sister, Cloe Bowen; and brothers, Rev. James Sanders, Fred Sanders, Boyd Sanders and Arshel Sanders.
She is survived by her sons, Michael Conner and wife, Sue, of Lillington and Bill Conner and wife, Amy, of Kings Mountain; daughter, Susanne Conner Miles and husband, Jim, of Cornelius; brother, Dathia Sanders of Kings Mountain; four grandchildren, Jessica Anderson, Sara Miles, Carson Conner and Davis Conner; and one great-grandchild, Kameelah Anderson.
Celebration of Life Service: Monday, Feb. 1, 2 p.m., First Baptist Church
Officiated by: Dr. John Sloan
Visitation: The family will receive friends immediately following the service, at the home of Ruth Sanders, 1520 Phifer Road, Kings Mountain.
Burial: Private Graveside Service, Monday morning at Cleveland Memorial Park, Boiling Springs

Ruby was a special lady that our family has enjoyed knowing over the years. Her visits to come see us in Atlanta were a pleasure along with our many visits with Ruby in North Carolina. We will treasure those memories for years. We know Ruby is no longer suffering and is now enjoying her new life in heaven. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

I am so sorry that Aunt Ruby has left us but so very happy that she is now with her Heavenly Family who she has missed so very much. Ruby was a one-of-a-kind person whose wit, love and personality will be missed by all who knew her.She also meant the world to my two sons, Will and Dylan, who had the privilege of having her in their lives for a very long time.
