LAWNDALE- Floyd "Sceaf" Towery, 85, of 235 East Double Shoals Road, Lawndale, passed away, Friday, March 23, 2012, at Cleveland Regional Medical Center in Shelby.
Mr. Towery was born in Cleveland County, on Feb. 27, 1927, to the late George Towery and Emma Towery.
He was retired from Century Furniture Company of Hickory as a forklift operator and was a member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church where he was a member of the administrative board.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Blanche Canipe Towery.
Sceaf was survived by his daughter, Linda Spangler of Lawndale, and sister, Annie Smith of Baltimore, Md.
Visitation: The family will receive friends from 1:30-2 p.m. Sunday at Stamey Funeral Home, Fallston
