SHELBY-Kimberly Dawn Wortman Borders, 44, died Thursday, June 21, 2012 at Carolinas Medical Center.
A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of Ted and Rosemary Wortman. She was a massage therapist at the First Resort Spa and was a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church.
Kim was a loving mother, daughter, sister and friend. Kim's presence brought a ray of sunshine to all those around her. She will be greatly missed and the lives of her friends and family will be forever changed.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, James & Ruth DeBrew and paternal grandmother, Polly Wortman.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by two daughters, Caroline Rose Borders and Corbyn Grace Wiggins both of Shelby; grandfather, Leon Wortman of Shelby; two sisters, Kristi Bowen and husband, Marty of Shelby and Erin Sarratt and husband, Jason of Earl; nieces, Lexi and Logan Bowen and Emma Sarratt and a dear friend, Brendan Hanley. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation: The family will receive friends today from 5 to 7 p.m. at Cleveland Funeral Services and other times at 215 Beaver Dam Drive, Shelby.
