SHELBY- David San'Chez Brown, 21, of 904 Skinner Road, departed this life on Thursday, June 21, 2012 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center.
He was born January 21, 1991 in Cleveland County to David and Dianne Glenn Brown.
San'Chez was a member of Golden Ridge Baptist Church and a former member of the Youth Choir. He was employed by Red Valve, Gastonia.
San'Chez was an avid sportsman who loved and played basketball, baseball, wrestling, and football, which was his passion, along with getting his education. He played semi-pro football with the Lake Norman Fears as #99. San 'Chez was also a member of the community service organization ASOATD, Alpha Sigma Omega & Alpha Theta Delta.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Bobby G. Glenn; paternal great grandparents Lyman and Evie Brown; maternal great-grandparents, Willie and Leonia Boykins; a step grandmother, Onelus Glenn; an uncle, Gregory Glenn and two aunts, Evelina Scott and Thelma Littlejohn.
San'Chez was a very humble, spirit-filled, respectful, motivated, and loveable young man who always carried a big smile on his face.
He leaves to cherish fond memories his parents, David and Dianne Brown; brother, De'Quavionne Brown of the home, paternal grandparents, Georgiann Whitesides (Douglas) of Shelby and David Z. Baker of Asheville, and maternal grandmother Lena Mae Glenn of Shelby; his uncles, Ervin Brown (Torrena), Robert Boykins, Joe Glenn (Brenda), Donald Glenn (Lillian), and Robert L. Glenn (Trina); aunts Linda Faye Huskey (Johnny), Betty Jean Poston (Kenneth), and Debra Manning all of Shelby, two special friends Kalum Byers of Gastonia, and Lydell Watkins of Shelby; and a host of other uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.
Visitation: The family will receive friends Wednesday from 2 to 3 p.m. at Malcolm Brown Auditorium.
Funeral Service: Wednesday, 3 p.m. at Malcolm Brown Auditorium, Shelby High School
Burial: Golden Ridge Baptist Church
