BOILING SPRINGS- Clifford Cletus Martin, 80, of 2914 Lon St., went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 24, at Wendover Hospice Home.

Husband of Grace Watkins Martin and son of the late Cletus and Lydia Edwards Martin, he was born in Mooresboro.
He was a member of Suck Creek Baptist Church in Gaffney, where he served as a member of the Brotherhood and as a parking attendant.
He was a retired mechanic with Nassau County Public Works, New York.
He was preceded in death by four siblings, Nelson, Weldon, and Robert "R.C.," Martin and Louise Byers. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Clifford Martin, Jr. of Inwood, Long Island, NY; two daughters, Jessie Phillips (Ronald) of Boiling Springs and Lisa Rice (Adrian) of Mooresboro; three sisters, Hazel Hicks and Sarah Martin, both of Shelby, and Inez Earl of Gastonia; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
Funeral Service: Thursday, 3 p.m. at Suck Creek Baptist Church
