FALLSTON - Dustin Wayne Tomlin, 22, of 4633 Fallston Rd., Fallston, passed away Friday, April 11, 2014.
Born June 7, 1991 in Mecklenburg County, he was a son of Peter Brian Ellis and Kimberly Ann Glover Ellis.
He was a manager for Shelby Cafe and was a member of Double Shoals Baptist Church. He received a full scholarship to NC State University through the ROTC at Burns High School where he was core commander.
Dustin was preceded in death by one brother, Tyler Tomlin; and his grandparents, Christine "Maw Maw Tine" Glover, Loretta and Jimmy Tomlin, and great-grandmother, Ruth Glover.
In addition to his parents, survivors include brother and sister-in-law, Kris and Jennifer Tomlin; special friend, Morgan Blanton; grandparents, Bobby Glover, Tricia and Danny Grant, and Pete Ellis; great-grandmother, Evelyn Willis; aunts and uncles, Robby and Amy Glover, Shane and Stacey Glover, Jennifer Scruggs, and Brad Ellis; special cousins, Autumn Glover, Colton Glover, Brandon Glover, Kade Scruggs, Adam Martinez; and many great-aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
The visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Stamey Funeral Home, Fallston.
At other times, the family will be at 4633 Fallston Rd., Fallston.
The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Monday at Stamey Funeral Home Chapel, Fallston, and will be officiated by the Rev. Norris Willis.
Burial will follow at Sunset Cemetery.
