MORGANTON, N.C. - Mamie Mildred Wray, 80, died Monday, April 14, 2014, at J. Iverson Riddle Developmental Center. Born on Aug. 5, 1933, in York, S.C., she was the daughter of the late George Gilard Wray and Emma Elizabeth Childers Wray and Clyde Wray. Mamie enjoyed visits with her friends and family and a favorite pastime was watching TV.

In addition to her parents, Mamie is preceded in death by a brother, Johnny Wray.
Mamie is survived by four sisters, Peggy W. Montgomery of Stone Mountain, Ga., Mary W. Warlick of Lawndale, Judy W. Phillips and husband Richard of Shelby, and Brenda W. Peterson and husband Robert of Kings Mountain; two brothers, Ralph Wray and wife Vickie of Kings Mountain and Roger Wray and wife Teresa of Shelby; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff at J. Iverson Riddle Developmental Center for all the love and care that they gave to Mamie.
Visitation: The family will receive friends following the service.
Graveside service: 11 a.m. Thursday at Buffalo Baptist Church
