SHELBY - Aundre Bell, 57, of 303 Best Street, departed this life on Monday, May 19, 2014, at Carolinas Medical Center, in Charlotte. He was the oldest child of Lena Breckenridge Bell and the late James Bell, Sr., and was born June 11, 1956, in Chicago, Ill.

Aundre was a 1974 graduate of Shelby High School. He continued his education at U.N.C. Charlotte and graduated in 1978 with a degree in Business Administration. His employment included over 15 years with Duke Power and Machine Building and Design, where he was currently employed for 14 years.
Aundre was a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. He was an easygoing person who had a great sense of humor and made friends very easily. He enjoyed cooking, gardening and animals. In addition, he was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his wife, Regina Miller Bell.
Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Lena B. Bell; a daughter, Jacqueline Bell of Charlotte; two brothers, Kelly Bell and James Bell, Jr.; a sister, Meta Bell; and a niece, Laurell Bell, all of Shelby; an aunt, Margurie Dailey of Chicago, Ill.; an uncle, Jimmie Breckenridge, also of Chicago; special friends, Wanda Whitworth and Kitty Dailey; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation: The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service, and at other times at the home, 303 Best St., Shelby.
Funeral service: 2 p.m. Friday at Long Branch First Baptist Church, Grover

Burial: Will take place at the church cemetery
