MOORESBORO - Dean Hames, 64, of West Main Street, died on Thursday, May 29, 2014, at Carolina's Medical Center-Main of Charlotte. A native of Rutherford County, he was born on Sept. 20, 1949, a son of the late Mary White. He worked at Robo Carwash for over 25 years and was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his mother, he is preceded in death by his son, Scott Goode; and one sister, Linda Terry.
He is survived by his wife, Colleen Holland Hames; two sons, Billy Goode of Mooresboro and Bobby "Duck" Goode and wife Cheryl of Shelby; four daughters, Mary Collins of Mooresboro, Cathy Goode of Fallston, Kanisha Goode and Nick Parsons of Fallston, and Sherry Dato and husband Darryll of Spindale; his nephews, Rodney Terry and Richard Terry; his niece, Robin Edwards; Paw Paw's Helpers, TJ and Travis Collins; 19 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Visitation: The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
